SarcastiKnitter
I am sarcastic and I am a knitter ~ so I figured I would create a new word for myself. *grin* Maybe it should have been "SarcastiKnitteWriter"? naahhhh! This will be a blog that is all of my randomness. From knitting to writing to food to music ... with a little sarcasm tossed in for flavouring!

Knitting Toques!
Been knitting like crazy the last few days. My sister has been trying to inspire me to get some toques (hats) done to sell in her little town's little boutiques. I have been figuring out men's size, ladies' size and kids' size. Great fun!! I can knock off a toque in about 4 hours. I am thinking I need a little trip to the wool store for some more inspiration. In about 3 weeks, I hope to have round 18 toques done to take up to Kamloops (for my birthday!!) and I will take some photos to put here in my blog. Trying to figure out what I would sell them for. Hand-knit, personally designed, every stitch lovingly knitted!
Now for a name .... SarcastiKnitter Designs? Saffron Knits? *thinking* .... I'll have to figure out a great little Canadian name for this adventure. Who knows where it may lead me!?
*grin!*

Knitting
At the new firm, lo and behold, there are a few of us knitters! (can you imagine 3 ladies knitting in a lunchroom?? LOL) Who would have thunk? A woman was trying for the first time “knitting on 3” (like how you would knit a sock) and I did a teaching class with her and another woman watching (for her own reference later, lol).
One thing I would love to do is this:
Find a school (inner city school would be best), grade 4 or 5 kids, where I get some fatter short needles and yarn for each child in the class, and teach them how to make a scarf for themselves. Wouldn’t that be cool?
In the meantime, I just keep knitting up scarves to give to the school for them to distribute to the needy ones. Not near as fulfilling, but it does something to help out.

To JTA
I know it doesn't seem true .... but hold tight ... you will feel more than pain and numbness soon.
